Getcovery Customer and Driver Accounts
Delete your Getcovery account
This page is the public web resource for requesting deletion of a Getcovery customer account or a Getcovery Driver account, including after uninstalling the mobile app.
Request account deletion
If you can sign in, use the Delete Account option in your web account, in the Getcovery Customer app (Profile) or in the Getcovery Driver app (Settings). If you no longer have the app installed, email our data protection team from this page using the registered email address for your Getcovery account.
What to include
- Your registered Getcovery account email address.
- Your full name, if different from the email account.
- A short statement that you want to delete your Getcovery account and associated personal data, and whether it is a customer or a driver account.
What happens next
- We will handle your request without undue delay and within one calendar month.
- We may ask for reasonable verification if we cannot confirm the account from your email.
- Some records may be retained where required for legal, payment, fraud, safety, tax, accounting, or claims obligations.
Driver accounts
- In the Getcovery Driver app, Settings → Delete Account closes your account immediately: your sign-in, email address and telephone number, push notification registration, notification settings, saved job searches and profile photo are removed, and you are unassigned from your company's vehicles and trade plates (the vehicles and their records are not affected). Your name, licence details, verification documents and licence check results stay with your company's records for 6 years after its partnership with Getcovery ends.
- The app refuses deletion while a job assigned to you is still in progress. Complete the job or ask your company's administrator to reassign it, then try again.
- Completed booking records, payout records and the log of verification decisions about you are kept for the same 6 years; chat messages age out within 90 days of being sent; support requests you raised are kept, with the details you entered, until 24 months after they closed.
- Without the app, email the deletion request above from your driver account email address and say that it is a driver account.
